Newbow Aerospace opens 2026 with new production facility and GSE contracts

Following a record year, which saw it secure several new contract wins,  leading GSE manufacturer, Newbow Aerospace, has opened the doors to a brand new factory in the UK, doubling its manufacturing capacity.

Located close to its head office and existing twin-unit production facility in the West Midlands, the company’s investment in a new 4,000 square feet fabrication unit enables Newbow to scale up production of its range of GSE trailers and service carts. In response to growing domestic and international demand for its premium, British-built products, the business has recruited more welders and fabricators, adding significant skilled resource to its production capability.

Newbow has strengthened its order book for 2026 with a major GSE contract  awarded by new customer, Iberia, for the initial production of 16 wheel and brake trailers. These will be deployed over the next few months to airports across Spain, in support of the carrier’s fleet of long-haul Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

In the UK, Newbow has been selected by British Airways’ Line Maintenance operation at London Gatwick to deliver a number of trailers in support of the airline’s Airbus A320 and Boeing 777 fleet. A brand new general trading agreement has also been signed with Jet2, starting with the procurement of Newbow tyre inflation tooling and pressure gauges, to include service and calibration.

Having formed its first sales and service partnership in the Middle East in 2025, with maintenance products provider and aviation consultancy, GGAS Aviation Services in Saudi Arabia, Newbow has seen increased enquiries from MRO and airline customers in the Kingdom.

Commenting on the company’s organic growth and outlook for 2026, Marc Green, Sales Director, Newbow Aerospace, said:

“It’s been another record year for Newbow and we expanded our market significantly during 2025 with UK and European customers, as well developing new opportunities in the Middle East, which we are excited about for this year.

The opening of our third production facility, which is now fully operational, provides Newbow with significant extra bandwith to ramp up the manufacture of our service carts and trailers, for which we’re seeing high demand. The prospects for 2026 look very encouraging, in line with continuing growth for the aviation sector.”
